Koh Samui’s Pristine Beaches

It’s no secret that Koh Samui boasts astounding natural beauty and glorious white sandy beaches, making it the perfect beach holiday in Thailand.

World-famous for its turquoise waters and beautiful coral reefs, Chaweng is probably the most popular beach on the island. Offering lots of activities to keep you busy, you’ll find plenty of beach bars, a selection of restaurants and a range of water sport options. For something a little quieter, Lipa Noi, Silver Beach and Bang Por offer a more relaxed experience.

Endless Activities

If you get bored of beach-bumming, there are plenty of activities that will keep you busy. Love being in the water? Snorkelling amongst the hidden coves at Ang Thong National Marine Park is a must-do experience when visiting Koh Samui. The archipelago is home to dozens of secret snorkelling spots and is a great place to marvel at the tropical fish and colourful shimmering coral reefs. Alternatively, enjoy the thrills of jet skiing, a fantastic water sport experience perfect for the adrenaline junkies.

If you are someone who can’t resist shopping, you will not be disappointed in Koh Samui. Hosting several well-known stores and restaurants on its premises we’d recommend checking out Central Festival shopping centre to indulge in some traditional retail therapy, or Fisherman's Village in Bophut for more artisan local arts and crafts.

Cultural and Historical Heritage

Beyond Koh Samui’s beautiful beaches, the island is home to fascinating temples and beautiful architecture. One of the most impressive landmarks to visit Wat Phra Yai, also known as the Big Buddha temple, which is located on the northern coast of Koh Samui. Built in 1972, the 12-metre tall golden buddha is one of the island’s star attractions. Head deeper into the jungle and discover Hin Lad Waterfall Temple, a must-see spot where serene gardens and an astonishing waterfall surround a stunning Buddhist prayer hall.
