Traveling to Thailand? From May 1, all international visitors must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entry. Here’s everything you need to know.

Who Needs to Complete the TDAC?

All foreign travellers visiting Thailand, regardless of visa type, must complete the TDAC before arrival. Thai citizens are exempt from this requirement.

What is the TDAC?

The TDAC is Thailand’s new online system that replaces the traditional arrival/departure card (TM6). It's a paperless, pre-arrival registration process that allows travellers to submit their personal information online before landing.

How Does it Work?

  1. Register online – Visit the official TDAC website

  2. Fill in your details – Passport details, flight number, purpose of travel and accommodation info.

  3. Receive your QR code – Once approved, you'll get a digital QR code via email.

  4. Scan and go – On arrival, present your QR code at immigration, and voilà—you’re in!

What You Need to Know Before You Fly

  • The TDAC is not a visa; it’s just an entry document. If you need a visa, arrange that separately.

  • Submit your details within 3 days before your flight to avoid last-minute stress.

  • Keep a screenshot of your QR code handy (just in case of Wi-Fi hiccups at the airport).

For the latest updates and to apply for the TDAC, visit the official Thailand immigration website. If you have any questions or require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to get in touch at reservations@limesamui.com

Safe travels!
