Rory McIlroy's Masters victory left you feeling inspired? Koh Samui’s collection of world-class golf courses is calling!
From perfectly manicured greens and stunning backdrops to five-star club facilities, the island’s relaxed pace and year‑round sunshine make the perfect setting for an afternoon of friendly competition.
And the best part? Getting there is effortless. Your dedicated villa driver can whisk you to the island’s top courses in comfort, while our team prepares refreshments for the day ahead, whether that’s chilled drinks, light bites, or a post-round treat waiting for your return.

For a Challenge: Santiburi Samui Country Club
This is one of Koh Samui’s most iconic golf courses, stretching along the hills of island’s northern coastline with its hilly terrain offering impressive sea views across to Koh Phangan. The 18-hole championship golf course is challenging with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that will test even the best golfers.
Complete an afternoon spent on the greens by unwinding at their serene spa retreat and indulging in a dinner at their luxury beach resort.
Location: Mae Nam
Estimated play time: 4 hours 30 minutes
Golf cart and caddie are compulsory
Maximum of 5 persons per group (including non-golfers)
For the Views: Royal Samui Golf & Country Club
Perched high in the hills above Lamai and Chaweng on the southeast of the island, Royal Samui’s beautiful 9-hole course is known for its wow-factor vistas and unhurried, members‑club feel. While the course is widely known to be difficult to play, the views from each hole are definitely worth the challenge.
Location: Lamai/Chaweng
Estimated play time: 2 hours
Golf cart is compulsory, with 2 persons sharing a cart. No caddies are available.
Maximum of 5 persons per group (including non-golfers)
While it is a 9-hole course, players can play it twice for an 18-hole experience.

To Hone Your Skills: Foothills Driving Range
Avid golf enthusiasts looking to refine their game will find everything they need at Foothills Driving Range, which offers a 250‑yard driving range, dedicated chipping and bunker zones, and a smooth putting green so you can dial in every part of your game. Just 2 km from Chaweng Beach, it’s an easy pre‑dinner practice session or a focused morning tune‑up before hitting the course.
Location: Bo Phut
Estimated play time: Typically 1-2 hours depending on how many trays of balls purchased
Best time to visit: Go early (before 10am) for a quieter experience

For Something Unique: Samui Football Golf
Swap the 7‑iron for a pair of trainers at Samui Football Golf, where you’ll play an 18‑hole “course” using a football instead of clubs. Created in 2005 and set within a lush botanical garden just minutes from Big Buddha and Chaweng, it’s a lot of fun and a game everyone can play and get involved in.
Estimated play time: A round typically takes 90 minutes - 2 hours depending on group size and pace.
Entrance fee includes: football and score card, a drink break (often coconut pudding) and cold wet towels
Minimum of two people per booking
Tips for a Great Golf Experience:
Best time to play: Early morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday sun.
Book tee times in advance. Let your Villa Manager know and they’ll happily organise this for you.
Dress code: Shirts with collar, slacks or mid-length shorts and soft spike/spikeless golf shoes.
Caddies are mandatory at Santiburi, knowledgeable about the greens and excellent for navigating the course
Don’t forget to pack mosquito repellent, sun scream and light layers; island showers can roll in fast, but they rarely last long.
Pair your round with a post-game massage.
